About me

Owning your own film artists management company had a great many perks. I was able to have my office in my home, I could control the number and type of clients I represented and best of all, I could be there to raise my children.
But I was not following my dream. My dream was to make indie movies that had messages, that moved people and that gave people something to think about when they left the theatre. So as my kids were gaining their independence I went from representing writers, directors and cinematographers to employing them. The old saying “be careful what you wish for…” came true and I did make 3 movies that that I am immensely proud of and that won awards. What came with that was something I was not prepared for, toxic people with take no prisoners attitude around me. Super inflated egos and self interest.
I became miserable, unhappy, angry and having a trouble sleeping. I was stuck and I got to the point where I would do anything to make myself feel better. Someway… I’m not sure whether it was intuition or a memory of some class I had taken in the past and somehow…. I found my way into a Yin yoga class. I started to feel better. I incorporated it into my day, I felt much better. I took an iRest workshop that promised stress relief, I felt even better! Then I started to sleep more soundly, then to cope more effectively with problems and then I found a way to get unstuck and put the joyless existence behind me.
Like so many before me; the happiness I had found, I wanted to share.
After starting to teach, I realized that I could not only see but also sense that my students were also feeling the calm, the ease and even the happiness that had come to me through Yoga and meditation.
